did that screen look like it was 60 feet high by 80 wide ? there only few in the uk the rest are liemax
Ha, I thought you were making up the "Liemax", but then I found it when I was asking Google Chrome in it's AI Mode! Following stuff is all copy & pasted from Google Chrome AI:
Specs for IMAX screens.jpg

This is me again speaking (Rob), so I asked it about the IMAX screens in Norwich and it said the following:
Screen Size of Screen 7 in Norwich.jpg

Rob speaking again, I asked it what "Liemax" meant:
What is Liemax.jpg

Mind you, the screen I viewed it on was a lot bigger than this pic I found of The Light Cambridge which is referenced in the AI replies above. The screen I saw it on was a lot taller than this one and wider I would say, just bigger. Following is a pic of The Light Cambridge, that looks like small screen! I would also say that the one I saw it on was more towards 1.43 x 1 rather than 1.9 x 1. I don't know if they do IMAX screens somewhere between those aspect ratios. I mean this screen in this pic looks tiny. When I walked into the cinema for the one I viewed the screen was massive and I was worried about putting popcorn on top of table in fear of people behind me getting a blocked view of bottom of screen, so it felt like a really tall screen.

dreadful liemax screens not like 70mm cinerama i think they should well maybe too late to bring those back now it will only confuse public even more
liemax not much difference to odeon isense screens
wait till end use digital measure width and height

Yeah, I see what you mean by waiting till end of movie to measure screen. It's unlikely I'll do that because I don't own a digital measure, and I might not want to take it with me & go to those lengths during the occasions that I do go because probably wouldn't be a solo adventure, & I don't know when I'll be going next as disappointed in the sound (visuals I found great) and a bit concerned for my ears too, plus if my track record continues re cinema attendance then it'll be 10yrs till my next viewing! ;)

(If could find a way to talk to the techs then just asking is an option. Perhaps even customer support queries over internet or whatever.)

once every 10 years is about right
it looks less than 50 wide by less or so maybe than 30 feet high , it's liemax
they should also stop calling them imax scenes on 4k discs , it's liemax again , it's shifting from scope to what looks like common w/s ratio , what a scam

Well anyway, the visuals I was impressed with, the sound not so much!

gain levels on most channels need a little less level so not produce too much audio frequency masking , bass feel is dynamic across the five screen . little inner Lc Rc used in the movie , surrounds/back levels need come down a bit ( least that is what i do here looking at vu-dB meters ) there are some pan-though effects though the surround arrays
bass shakers maybe not near to 10 g's :D no thanks i would pass out but enough vibration maybe not near to ejection seat but it is satisfactory
no pinging reflection in the room and certainly no honky sound that you can easily hear in cinemas or those cedia demo rooms , i just want to hear the soundtrack
