decent transfer picture colour looked fine , ( don't play the dvd much now ) Dolby Stereo had good bass and sub bass extension from effects music and foley

i have the region 1 dvd mgm out of print , i think same digital master tape was used for both , mono mix is very detailed and with good fair bass and bass extension , jerry goldsmith score is chillingly tense for the drama

open matte , unfortunately it was a laserdisc rotter lol , i mentioned to seller and waiting for him get back he maybe able find a pressing that plays or may have to look for a japan pressing , could only play the first 35 mins and noticed the laser rot side 1 and all over side 2 , otherwise the Dolby Stereo in THX was getting wow in the bass !
 
Hi Andy, so what do you think of trinnov?
i wouldn't say its a life changer , it is for laserdisc Dolby AC-3 a lot quicker with ( RF AC-3 locking of 0.5s quicker than any other avr processor )
waiting for new software , once engineering has tested it all for , december-2025/january-2026 release ?

hardly use laserdisc PCM Dolby Stereo 4.2.4 matrix / DSU , ( usually use Dolby Stereo CP200 ) but handled okay last night with one programmed mode made for the unit , Dolby Stereo so it uses all the sidewall speakers and speakers on the back wall what is called , ( left-half right-half ) it handed well

i think i may need set multi microphones up near close to projection screen ( re-check the screen speakers HF horns ) they seem to be maybe sounding different with pink noise compared to stormaudio testing few weeks ago before i installed the tinnov alt 32 , a bit less on the high end ? they all need be aligned so looking same frequency and sounding tonally correct for sound effects panning or any voice/speech
 
i need repair the other silicon ear as my cat Melanie ripped it off and hid it ? and i have spare/repair to fix
the dummy head is far better use since i can roll it , tilt it , learn it back ( do anything to see frequency measurements )

i do more far more , a lot more besides all that listening , critical than most here would even care for , since most have other hobbies or do not have enough time on their hands lol

trinnov 32 needs be a bit more software firmware updated

the XLR microphone inputs need be so they connect to ether , mono centre channel or all the one channel/speaker at a time or all speakers running across the L Lc Lsc C Rsc Rc R , or the surrounds left and right , the back surrounds left and right , the overheads left and right ( or i do the other for my matrix below floor surrounds )
its critical for critical THX listeners that are , the audience is listening . . . !

they need a new type RTA on the trinnov and needs be tested to see how owner/users find it easy or difficult and the difficult then needs to be made easier to use with Eq control that is one the same trinnov menu/page as some are quicker doing it , others maybe slower at doing it ( i can't stress how awkward it is to get frequency manually Eqq adjusted and a lot more besides that ) the speakers for screen channels have to be critically the same , the speakers for surrounds can be same or different
the screen speakers typically HF horns have to totally sound the same and look same in the adjusted frequency and listening carefully as they are spread/spaced apart across behind the projection screen and even HF horn distance from behind the screen to the screen material has to be critically adjusted with

all speakers HF horns titled downwards so they beam sound across the seating directly on axis to middle row , the HF horn is going to gave off-axis vertically above/below which is normal
the speakers that need rotating or ( toe in ) the inner speakers need gentle adjustments due to seats and ( well not everyone is a listener they just hear or think they hear the sound ? )

L ( rotate angle so pink noise is same or near and any other Eq adjustment needed )

Lc ( rotate angle very little so pink noise is same or near and any other Eq adjustment needed )

Lsc ( rotate angle very lesser little so pink noise is same or near and any other Eq adjustment needed )
C tilt angle downwards

Rsc ( rotate angle very lesser little so pink noise is same or near and any other Eq adjustment needed )

Rc ( rotate angle very little so pink noise is same or near and any other Eq adjustment needed )

R ( rotate angle so pink noise is same or near and any other Eq adjustment needed )

^ the above can take hours or even days to perform the above tasks and listening to well known film soundtracks to verify its spot on aligned and calibrated with dozens of titles

not much motivates me now to repair the dummy head , due to heart Atrial fibrillation , diabetes type 2 , low/high blood pressures

experimentation with a "baked matt damon potatoe" that has been in the fridge for over a week placed it over the behringer ECM8000 calibration microphone while pink noise was playing to see how it would look on trueRTA?

The speaker was EQ for flat response eariler on and the highs seemed to roll off with a "baked matt damon potatoe" stuck over the mic. I cleaned the mic but now it smells like matt damon came
potatoe over it. Could have been worse I was thinking of covering mayonnaise over the microphone.

Hmm, dunno how good that is for the microphone in the grand scheme of things, is it worth the comedy!

It's remarkable but bad for microphone and audio capture....ok, ok, we all know that!
 
fader volume level on trinnov altitude 32 can be set to 1000dB or greater , who has even heard of +1000dB ? ( even higher )
here i set it +40db

but keep it +20dB for maybe very quiet soft level soundtracks which would be very rare

utter slapper slapping garbage trash ! worst garbage trash riddey scott trash i ever seen ! image was dark looked like filmed with stocking pulled over the lens with dying xenon lamp , AC-3 soundmixers mix was also trash worst sound mix i ever listened too , right at end of the garbage trash oh now has brightness highlights and then suddenly turns to demei garnage trash again , what was those critics smoking two thumbs up , it was navy seal garbage trash

no star rating for this garbage trash , why did i buy this garbage trash ? ?
