THX cinema with pro cinema audio gear

Just started reading this old thread and came across this post.
Surely blocking 2 ports will raise the tuning frequency not lower it?
The frequency of a reflex enclosure is the mass of the air in the ports on the compliance of the air in the cabinet. Blocking 2 ports is a considerable reduction in mass so will raise the reflex tuning frequency.
It may help reduce booming depending on location and so forth but definitely not at a lower frequency.
subs are fine sealed otherwise i wouldn't have bothered do it , , get a real free lunch with extra lows when window is open even small few inches 4 db free lunch on the infrasonic boost raise , they like to be free , not confined within small rooms even cinemas dub stages are not large enough as the wavelength is longer than most neighbourhoods its over a thousand feet , but doesn't mean its not there ? ( no need to expand on the topic of subs ) who has done test inn the garden at night with xlr cable of maybe hundreds of feet and mic placed yards away from house and then sine wave 10Hz and use spectrum lab so can visible see the sine wave depending on amplitude power

Magic analyses REW

i can do anything pretty much at my own discretion , signature frequency is common on HF horns i may try something not saying , as its audio science review sound politics , this much can say , classified top secret , know when i know on findings

past rew but the signature is always the same

Nice!

A while ago you commented that license options from Dolby are quite expensive...

What know something funny? Saw a Dolby CP850 on ebay for £1.5 grand no joke, two of them but you need them formatted cos they would have some key and if you want the 64 channels got spend out more £ grand for 1U frame box and got pay Dolby labs for many more £ grand just to get the unlock key, Daylight Robbery. Then again the CP850 1.5 grand from ex dubbing theater that went bust and all the gear sold cheaply. CP850 I think sells for £18 grand? Rubbish don't like the look of it worst processor Dolby labs have made and has issues with sometimes getting an Atmos lock on the signal. CP950 looks even worse and I guess all lightweight compared to the other CP processors they made. Dolby's best seller was the CP65 around the 1990's and some cinemas still may use them expect for the digital 4k rubbish cinemas, cos they ain't no cinema just tv projection.

What license options do you plan to enable?

Which type of audio outputs will you use?

so this is what the tactile air pressure bass is like within the white room , that shuttle is 204dB , instant ear rupture not mention maybe if inside that white room , traumatised or a shock to the bodies system , the gain/mic levels recording most be set at low level so when it launches , no one would be crazy enough to play dvd " the dream is alive " on two of the shuttle launches at 204dB , 100dB is plenty enough well maybe 90dB ,

a little baby JBL control SB-5 can blow a candle out i'm convinced

test 1

test 2

can't test the bigger professional 4682 as the ports the oled and not shuffle that around , besides even cheap subs would do same thing its just air pressure inside at certain low frequency it ain't much of a big deal , although i have a new idea i may try one day should be entertaining

this was with other JBL system before before 2020 when the all new THX JBL install 2020
