'star wars' with proper surround channel configuration , try doing format 04 in your home theatres . the echo sound "i think we took a wrong turn" sounds proper with left-half right-half surrounds , where AVR's will only play fake Dolby surround upmixer with fake stereo surrounds with extra crosstalk in those surrounds and digital dps upmixer processor distortion noise as well . what can't any of you hear that ? Dolby analog matrix is far superior . the Dolby pro-logicIIx is okay for 5.1 mixes with split-stereo-surrounds and doesn't have that upmixer dsp digital distortion noise artifact , PLIIx is rubbish for 4.2.4 Dolby Stereo ,only okay for split-stereo-surrounds. then again can't play the proper regular left-half , right-half , not without doing special wiring .

the smoke machine adds to the fourth dimension and inspires next diy-surround idea ? plus looks better with 4k laser projector with "light-beams" .

the fog smoke machine gives nice curtain of smoke below the scope frame and looks cool with laser blasters occasionally reflecting onto the smoke .

i am fully aware and this is how proper sound calibration is done with multiplex microphones .if want it good sound got spend the extra cheap money on gear .

wow i like this warren THX cinema sort alike to Empire Leicester Square with its THX laser show 1989 . this is what gives cinema the extra showmanship presentation style . sadly i read the cinema was brought by regal something and they suck and did away with the light show .

+34dB boost thou can actually it around +64dB don't try that with this movie it would destroy your amps and speakers with opening that is loud ! but soon fades down in the mix though the expanding universe . the open i need to do this with the smoke machine thou most of the light would pass though the smoke and i won't see the screen thou should theoretically see the image projected onto the smoke as if it was dust clouds in the universe so then i can look around in actual 3d .

space shuttle sub bass in movies . i may try something like the shuttle main-engines and SRB with special sub bass presentation , in theory the idea would work its actually do it , maybe coming soon to this THX cinema .

Your surround system is so technical and pure, you obviously love movies and surround sound that accompanies them and of course have a very cool Sooty cat. Do you have a idea where this is all going or are you letting it guide you as time passes and so does the hardware that's available?

two behringer ECM8000 inside the JBL sub cabs 4645C and 4645 gave smooth frequency response with no smoothing as its fairly is rather close to even inside the cab boxes .
some EQ applied to shape the frequency as close to each sub and level gain on amplifier also adjusted to get close acoustical match .

red sweep is JBL 4645C
green sweep is JBL 4645
blue sweep is both JBL subs at same time
