Thump/pop filter for car stereo?

My car stereo consists of an Alpine head unit feeding a plate amp, 4 speakers and a sub. Nothing exotic. However, it also has a Hirschman retractable antenna controlled by the standard blue wire on the head unit. Power on, antenna up. Power off, antenna down. So far so good, works fine. Today I installed an on-off dash switch to depower the antenna so it's retracted when not needed (which is almost always) . This worked as intended apart from one problem - switching the antenna makes a massive thump/pop regardless of volume setting, potentially loud enough to damage speakers.

My though was to add some kind of filter to shunt the pop to ground. But my electronics is too weak to design such a thing or even have much idea if this could even work. Maybe somebody could give me some guidance here? Thanks in advance and cheers,

Remove the switch and not worry about the antenna, they make short stubby antennas that replace the originals for less than any filter will cost and it will stop the noise completely and easier to install. I paid $18 for a short antenna for my mustang.
