Ok, good news. Using my smsl m200 (that im trying to sell), the noise is 99,9% gone. Yay.

So I believe the noise is coming from the way the D50S is being powered. I got some fancy ultra low noise 5v psu from Ifi that I hope it will fix the problem.

Funny thing is that the m200 is balanced and has no perceivable noise in the rca out, what is technically its suboptimal output.

But yeah, I hope the "most silent psu" in the market can solve this, I also got a 15v for the A50S.

Looking at the pictures, I'm more concerned about the D30 Pro than the A30 Pro.
The D30 Pro panel shows PCM384kHz DSD256, which is a specification not found in previous Topping products.

Probably has to do with the choice of cirrus logic DAC chips used. It's still an improvement over original D30 (24bit/192kHz DSD 128).

I'm still wating for my A50s According to the courier, it managed to fly 6,000 miles from Shenzhen to Heathrow and then get lost, 40 miles from my house. ShenzhenAudio have said they will send a replacement...

Yea it doesnt look like its a lot of desk space savings, but 2/3 the size of the A90 would be nice. I'll probably hold off on selling my A90 for now.

Just got an A50s in. Using a Khadas Tone Board as the DAC, and HD650's for headphones. Incredible sound! No distortion at any reasonable volume level, and super transparent sounding. I don't think I can fault anything about this setup. Huge upgrade from the Schiit Magni 1.

NFCA is not limited to tpa6120. A50s uses THS6182.

I’m curious, what sparked the idea to use a new NFCA circuit? Does the new circuit actually improve aspects of the old circuit, or was it for another reason? The original A90 seemed flawless already, so I’m curious why change the formula?

The limited supply voltage and pcb area of A50s and heat dissipation. And A90 and L30 use a full chip of tpa6120 for each channel where half of a chip of ths6182 is used for each channel in A50s.

I believe A30 Pro will be an SE/cut-down A90 with different power supply than A90, too.

I have question about the D50s/A50s: I am using the volume control on D50s (via remote) and I have the A50s set to max and 0 gain. Should I set the A50s volume knob a bit below max instead? With the Senn 599s the D50s is typically between -40db and -30db
