Thoughts about the new Fosi Subwoofer?

Budget audiophile with a first post -

Anyone have any thoughts on the newly announced Fosi 10” powered subwoofer? I am looking for a budget sub to go with a pair Boston Acoustics VR30’s a relative gave me. Mainly use with my home theater but also some classical music, mostly strings. Was going to wait for Black Friday sales but wondering if this will be a safe buy now instead.

Link is to the products manual as it has a bit more detail than the announcement page.

Seems like a good deal for $300.

It's hard to evaluate without independent measurements and without hearing it. But I'd guess it will give you more bass.

A 10-inch subwoofer is "small" (to me). My main speakers have 12-inch woofers. (But they probably don't have as much deep-bass as this sub... My main speakers sound kind-of wimpy for 12-inch woofers.). And I have a pair of 15-incn DIY subwoofers in rather large cabinets.

My main misgiving is the built in DSP profiles in the product. It’s unclear if these can be bypassed entirely but it doesn’t sound like it.

You don't want to bypass them! They're what make the thing work.

Nice enough looking box, but I don't like the complete lack of specifications. Unless I'm missing them.

For $40 more there is the RSL Speedwoofer 10E:

I have the white 10e and it is great (as long it is not in huge room). It is great for music and good for movies. Does it reach down Below
20hz? no but reaches to 24hz Competently. If you need a sub to go super deep look into the RSL 12s.

Thanks for the recommendation, I just bit the bullet and ordered a 10S. Was was going to wait for Black Friday but worried they may go out of stock again or raise price rather than lower it with the tariff drama hitting in US right now.

I have a dumb question. I just bit the bullet and got 2 fosi subs since they were having such a good sale and they match my white mb quart 350s. I dont want to have to run 2 sets odf rcas all around the house from the receiver. I was going to invest in getting an sva or similar wireless kit with a receiver and transmitter with low latency. But I don’t want to buy two sets. Is there any way to just buy one set amd then use a dual rca s splitter to get the signal from the receiver to both subs or hook one sub to the other? In short. Can I get away with one wireless subwoofer kit instead of two and do you have any good suggestions for decemt kits that will have negligible latency or just bite the bullet and run another 2 pair of rca cables from the receiver?
