Indeed. I presume, futureaudiophile's hand-wringing notwithstanding, that this is a move on Bose's part, to improve McIntosh's brand's cachet.

I don't know if it was meant this way but "ripples" are not very powerful or far reaching

interesting article, not so much for the store that no longer carries Mcintosh but for the consideration that he makes towards the end of the article.
The sad difficulty of the market and existence in recent years of the brands that are the symbol of the "Golden era" Hi-fi production.
Krell, Classè, Audio Research, Mc, Mark Levinson and then I would also add Infinity ....

And that is really sad. 2008 recession wiped out bricks and mortar. Can't find a Revel dealer within 250 miles from Southwestern Indiana.
