Hi
I have the HD650 paired with the K11 R2R, but I don't believe to be truly satisfied
I mean, I don't have that WOW effect during listening. But I don't even have any comparisons to be sure of this...

I know that the K11 R2R is not a powerful AMP, so I was thinking to add an external AMP , like the JDS Atom 2

It is a good idea or a waste of money?
Will the addition of the amp bring any improvements?

Thanks

Only if you're maxing out your current Amp and it's still not loud enough.
My current AMP is the K11 and I have plenty of volume...
So I deduce from your response that I wouldn't gain any benefit from adding an external amp

Do you operate the HD650 on the FIIO K11 R2R with a real balanced cable on the 4.4mm connection, or with an SE cable on the 6.35mm connection?
On the 4.4mm connection with the balanced cable, the K11 R2R has 3-4 times as much power as on the SE connection.

Otherwise, the Sabaj A20h can be recommended for around 100 €/$. Real symmetrical HPA, including relay-based volume control with absolute channel equality, remote control, display, symmetrical input and real symmetrical output with a maximum of 4.7 watts at 32 ohms.

I'm using the 4.4 balanced output
