Thinking about changing one of my sub amps.

I have a dual 15 sealed psa 750 rms subwoofer up front. I have a 1 15 stereo integrity sealed rear right with speaker power 1200 rms. I have a dual sealed stereo integrity 15 on a crown xls 2002. Left rear.

I was thinking about changing the dual stereo integrity box to a speaker power 1200 or 2400 amp. Is the speaker power amp an upgrade over the crown xls amp? Should I keep it with the 1200 rms to keep the power range close to the other subs or get the 2400 to push the 15s closer to there max.

Unless an amp is "broken" you are unlikely to hear any difference between different amps, this is especially true with subwoofers. The one exception is if any of the amps are clipping. Crown amps have a clipping indicator, not sure about Stereo Integrity. If you don't ever see the clipping indicators come on then more power won't make any difference. If you do see the clipping indicators come on then a more powerful amp will help.

I see the crown xls clip alot. I wonder if the crown class drive core is as good as the iceedge class d line.

One thing to consider, is that you need to feed a lot more voltage to icepower to drive it to its full power than you need for Crown.
If your pre amp is not able to output 4V or above you better forget about it.

How are you running the 2002? How are the subs wired?

ps As far as same amp power idea, all subs are same sensitivity?

The pre pro is a av20 seems to drive the crown harder than the integra ever did. 3 of the 5 subs are the same driver. The rear subs are the same. Is 1200 rms enough output for sub 20hz bass to have te force to feel?
