The Rythmik G22 is discontinued, what are my options?

I want a MEDIUM sized (not compact but medium sized), "dual opposed" subwoofer that is "fairly efficient" and can go low, and wont cost as much good used car for 2 subs.

From what I understand, the Rythmik G22 is a unicorn in that regard, but I am sad to find out it is discontinued. The Rythmik G25 is too big, and the SVS 3000 Micro and KEF KC 92 are too small for what I want. When I say "medium" dual opposed subs, I mean like 12 inch. I also want something fairly efficient. The wiring in my house is older and I don't want to overload it. What are my options?

The "Perlisten D212s" at almost $19k usd for a pair is a littler more than I wanted to spend. The "Arendall 1723 Subwoofer 2s" tackles distortion in a different way but apparently it is quite a power hungry sub.

What is the closest thing to a G22?

Thanks for the help.

You might reach out to Rythmik and see if the would build one for you on special order. My sense from dealing with them in the past makes me think that might be possible.

Maybe the 10D?

Or DB1D?

I would also like to see SVS release larger sealed dual opposed subs, 12-15" each.

will that give me the same grunt as the Rythmik G22?

Dude did you not read my post? I specifically said I was already looking at Rythmik but the sub I want is discontinued.
Absolutely right, I read it but totally missed it for some reason.

I was thinking the same thing. I already emailed Rythmik asking if they had any display or used G22 subs, or know where I can get a G22, and I am waiting for a response. I aam also reaching out to authorized sellers of Rythmik to see if they have any old stock. It is a shame they discontinued this sub. You have any idea why they might have done so?

Hi, hope it's okay that I chime in (if not just let me know). Looks like the 10D could be along the lines of what you are looking for. I couldn't find any CEA2010 measurements of the G22, but the G22 is a 2x12" and also significantly larger than the 10D, so it is not unlikely that it is a bit more powerful.

That being said, the 10D will play more than twice as loud as the Kef KC92 for instance (as a reference since you mentioned it in your initial post). The compact size will limit the capacity in the low end, but it plays VERY loud as soon as you go above say 40hz. So it depends a bit if you're looking for something for music as opposed to maximum low end for movies. For the latter, it's hard to get away from larger (possibly ported) subs.

Did you check USAudio Mart, eBay, Amazon, Craigslist or just search used Rythmik G22?

No idea but have to assume that they were not selling many. They are super people, and I’m thinking maybe for a premium they might help you out.

I strictly want it for music (not movies), but I listen to some low pipe organ music that goes down to 16 hz. I also listen to jazz with lots of bass. As you can imagine, I am not blaring my symphony and jazz as loud as someone who listens to techno music, but I like it loud enough that the KEF KC92 will start to roll off for what I want. Sub 18hz would be ideal at medium volumes.

I'm pretty sure the 10D would suit you well, especially with two subs.

Ya can’t go wrong with Rythmik for sure, but I recently purchased two of the Starke SW15s, they are excellent, serious output even below 20Hz (in my room anyway) … https://starkesound.com/products/sw15

GSG may also be worth checking out …

Buy two, three, or four. You'll get better frequency response in the room as the modes will be 'evened' out.
That would put me in the same price category as getting Perlisten d212s, if I had that kind of cash why wouldnt i just buy those tow of those?

How big are they and how much power do they draw? When ever i see the number 15 i get scared.

This one appears to heed lots of juice.

the db1d seems to need lost of juice.
