Interesting accomplishment.
I believe that someday the idea of personal flight will become a reality BUT.
Going back to the time of the Jetsons, I always remember thinking about a bunch of stoned&high, distracted, and just plain dumb yahoo's flying around the skies of cities like Chicago, New York, and LA. They'll be running into each other and falling out of the sky's like pigeon poop.

Absolutely crazy! His athletic abilities are no doubt responsible for bit of control he has over it.

With a little bit of diy he might be able to improve his ironman capabilities; with battery powered electric turbo jet.

It's easier and safer and lighter for a single man flying with a battery pack than a full tank of jet gasoline.

Current battery technology doesn't yet have the energy density of, say, Jet A-1. That is, for the equivalent energy, batteries are still larger and heavier.
