By listing the same price for both, is Sennheiser finally admitting that the 660 S and 650 are in the same tier? They tried to market the 660 S as the successor of the 650 in 2017 but seems like they've quitely changed their tune.
Prices can be based on other factors than equivalency in performance or categorization, especially during the pandemic - things are a bit wacky out there price wise.
As far as "categorization", both the HD650 and HD660S are in the "Audiophile" category on Sennheisers website, but the HD600 is in the "Home Audio" category.

- HD 650
HD660S -

- Headphones
- Audiophile Headphones
- HD 660S
IDK what those categories mean, as I've considered the HD600 an "Audiophile" Headphone for a very long time, and looking at the URL text, so does Sennheiser, the website "categories" simply forgot about the HD600 when adding the HD650/HD660S to the new "Audiophile" named section:

Those categories might be website delineations made to assign products to different marketing sections, and the HD600 might be in an "old" design section, someone forgot to move it to the "Audiophile" section. As per typical website "redesigns" copy over the old site, remove some cruft, and "tack on" the new stuff.
