Has anyone else noticed distinct surround effects, with stereo when watching the streaming hospital show "The Pitt "? I started to notice quite clearly sourced voices and noises coming from far to my left side and even left rear, as well as general hospital sounds at both far right and left. When it first occured, I even stepped outside the house thinking something was going on out there.
It's not anything magic about my system (Ascilab C6B and some ceiling splash HF drivers ala Duke LeJeune), and I've only heard the wild sound placements on that particular program -- but in all of the first 4 episodes so far (S1 episode 3 is a good one). Haven't heard such jarring off to the side or back effects with other media. Though very ambient/environmentel recordings like Midori can cast a pretty wide image.
I was wondering whether the sound guy on The Pitt could be doing some special processing to get those effects. Or maybe it's just some kind of happy interraction with my room setup and that show's hospital sounds, maybe no one else is hearing this?
