Apparently the "New York" International Audio Show on October 24-26 2025 will be held at the Hilton in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey.
Who here may attend?
Amir - It may be a great venue for you to display the AsciLab speaker line.

Looks like that's right next door to Teterboro. Which I think is pretty close to last night's little earthquake we had out here.

I think I didn't notice the earthquake because I had my dual subs pumping some serious low end at the time.

I already got my tix to go. Exhibitor list looks a bit empty, so one day should be plenty. Because it's literally right in my backyard, it's something to do, therefore one day should be plenty.

But will be doing a weekend at CAF, this year, they are expanding to a nearby hotel as they ran out of space, it should be good.

Orchard Audio, in collaboration with Soundfield Audio, is proud to announce the debut of a revolutionary new product at the NYC International Audio Show: a 4-channel, 1200-watt plate amplifier with integrated DSP.

A plate amplifier is essentially a self-contained power amp module, typically mounted directly onto the rear panel of a loudspeaker enclosure. It integrates the amplification circuitry, input connections, and a DSP with crossover controls into a single, compact unit. For the listener, it means fewer boxes, shorter signal paths, and a more direct connection between source and transducer (driver). By embedding the amp into the speaker cabinet, designers can optimize the amp-speaker synergy, especially in low-frequency reproduction, where damping factor and driver control are critical.

Orchard Audio’s cutting-edge plate amplifier, which uses our award-winning Starkrimson technology, marks a significant leap forward in active speaker design, delivering precision control, immense power, and advanced signal processing—all in a compact plate-mounted form factor. Engineered to meet the demands of high-fidelity enthusiasts and professional audio environments alike, the amplifier offers:
  • Four independent channels of amplification for complex multi-driver configurations
  • 1200 watts of total output power, ensuring dynamic headroom and low distortion
  • Integrated DSP for tuning and crossover management
  • Modular architecture allows for future firmware updates and customization, giving users long-term flexibility and performance enhancements
The plate amplifier will be installed in a Soundfield Audio 1212C full-range cardioid loudspeaker. This speaker features:
  • Wide dispersion planar super tweeter
  • 12-inch Neodymium coaxial point source main driver with ring radiator compression driver
  • 2 x 12-inch subwoofers
  • DSP Delayed diffuse field rear-firing planar driver.
Orchard Audio will be in room 107 at the NYC International Audio Show, October 24-26, 2025.

Best of luck at the show Leo, I fully expect the combo with your new amps (congrats!) and the Soundfield design will be superb!

A profoundly unpleasant drive for those who actually live in New York.
LOL! For years my dad had to drive frequently from CT (very close to NY) to a client in Hasbrouck Heights and it was the subject of much profanity. Back in the day (80s/90s) there were some big import/export players there (cars, especially), but no idea if that's still the case. They must have some kind of commerce there if there's a Hiton.

Not sure if it's worth it for people driving in far, as I am not optimistic of the exhibitor list.

On the other hand, CAF was good last year. I will be going to CAF again this year. And unfortunately, Axpona is always during my kids' spring break, so we go away instead.

There has been a change to the room number at the show; it will now be room 108.

Any drive that includes the busiest bridge in the world tends toward profoundly unpleasant.
Well there's also the two tunnels....then a drive north to Hasbrouck Heights. North of the city, there's the Tappan Zee bridge and then a drive south.

If I lived in the city I'd probably just take a train across the Hudson, then do a cheap car rental on the Jersey side.

Is there any advantage buying tickets in advance for this show? FYI a bus from NYC (and from further away with a bus transfer) can easily deliver you within a few blocks of the exhibition site.

Not anymore, there was a discount when you purchased early. But I don't believe there is that discount anymore.

The other thing is, I would not expect too much from this show, I believe this is the first year after a hiatus and transfer of ownership of the NY Audio Show.

So this speaker is probably the most obscure product at the show. The brand is called Omni Speakers, I couldn't find their website. The gentleman manning the room didn't know much about it, he said he was watching the room for his friend.

Basically it's a bunch of drivers facing each other in a sphere. It sounded very confusing, I couldn't localized where the sound was coming from. It appears to be a prototype, as it seems to be a half baked science project.

As suspected, you only really need half a day here. It's a small show.

Then you have this room, with snake oil hidden at every corner and in plane sight.

I was told that the pole in the middle is called the "vibrator" brought to you by Synergistic Research.
