the most beautiful and famous pop songs of the 40 years

Hello - Desire

Who can forget this classic of obsession . . .

or this one of commitment . . .

There’s a whole sub genre of stalker songs.

Silhouettes (On the Shade), The Night has a Thousand Eyes.

Haircut 100
Love Plus One
I had no idea they even had a video. :p
The whole album is great.

Interesting thread but vocals from the last 40 years....not much in my wheelhouse.

Cut off is OCTOBER 1984

Some of us are trying to stick to the rules. Must have all of the following.
  • beautiful
  • famous
  • pop song
  • last 40 years
In other words, a 4-input and gate for the HW types; for the logic and software peeps it's a 4-clause expression using three boolean and operators.

For example, I wanted to post Technotronic Pump Up The Jam it's awesome and hilarious and a notable pop crossover from the acid house underground. But does it qualify as beautiful according to OP's intent? I don't believe it does.

It seems a lot of respondents are struggling with that clause. I think that's what make the challenge interesting because while pop music of the last 40 years may not be your in wheel house, there likely have been mighty pop song fish that passed over your transom uninvited so big you turned to look and made a lasting impression. Can you remember any of those on cue?

Okay, you are right. I'll go back and remove it. I guess that actually means I'll remove all the posts I had in this thread. Sorry to/for the OP.

All 'offending' posts gone now. You can rest easy.
