I understand there is nothing to worry about now in terms of transparency...

I need function - DAC (Topping with toslink for CD) to the power amp - [(Niles), fine... (- via JDS)]

TT (1200) > phono (Fosi) however I still want to easily combine the two??

Currently using a Jds Atom headphone amp (due to 3.5mm)

I'd love a remote for the Vol basically...

This must be a place in the Venn diagram that is crowded!!

Any help would be appreciated - my brain hurts!

RCA input, throughput would be cool - no ADC...

Am I missing something - very happy for anyone to tell me so.

I don't quite understand your setup let alone wishes for changes....can you be more specific about gear/connections?

Basically I want to not need a preamp anymore - or at least one that might be of use.

If the JDS had a remote I'd be very happy - however surely an analog passthru on a DAC like the Topping should be easily implemented...

Perhaps I ask for something that many don't need.

I want digital transparency AND scratchy plastic disc! ;)

Which WiiM do you suggest? I apologise if I seemed curt...

Convince me - it's why I'm here!

That doesn’t respond to my question.

What question was that? You told him what to do and he replied no thanks.

I kinda agree though, it's a whole pile of disparate stuff that could be replaced with one box.

I already specified the model. I think it is impossible to discuss products until you list what functions you need.

Thankful and with respect, a WiiM isn't for me...

I'm looking for a simple digital (usb-toslink)/analog(TT+) integration with function that measures well I.e. upwards of 105 sinad. With analog passthru - if it exists, I cannot find it!

I would think this is something many would be after - perhaps I am mistaken.

Okay - I understand its all a bit antiquated... I'm open to suggestions...

To simplify - all I'm after is roon via rpi -USB/cd via toslink/and analog TT. With a remote.

I think you are going to struggle to find a digital device with analogue passthrough these days.

The only ones I am aware of are AVR's using Pure Direct (Denon terminology) on the analogue input.

Having said that - there is no need to worry about your vinyl going through a digital stage. The sound will not be altered in any audible way. Plus if you have a device with room eq, you could take advantage of that for the turntable also.

This would cover most of your needs. Streamer, Roon, digital inputs, remote volume and ready to feed your power amp. What is not covered is analog straight thru bypass and no phono.

I'd suggest something like this be added for phono:

Amir did not recommend it, but it will present you with no problems. You feed your Fosi phono to it, and that can be output over SPDIF coax to the Eversolo. It has less than the 105 db SINAD, but it has enough SINAD you'll be well beyond what you can get from the Fosi phono. You'll need to set it up with a computer over the USB, but it can be operated stand alone with no computer after that. Set levels once with the Fosi feeding the line inputs. An RCA to XLR cable will allow that.

You'll have your Eversolo at the center of things remotely controllable. It will get SPDIF in from the Focusrite so you'll have your phono. It will get the optical Toslink from your CD player. It should do everything you need. No analog bypass, but you'll never hear a difference vs one anyway.

The Benchmark DAC2 HGC does not digitize the analog inputs. Neither does the Project Pre Box DS2 Digital, and that has a phono preamp that might or might not be good enough depending how picky you are (and Project cheaped out on the remote). I imagine there are others. Is this the right track of what you are after?
