The kit we bought, our current setups

Very nice setup.

I am guessing you are European. People from North America don't usually do these elaborate system connection drawings.
Thank you very much!
Yes, Norwegian :)

My trusty J2 horn amp developed an intermittent crackle, so it has been replaced with a Topping Mini 300. After getting gain levels adjusted, the Mini works just fine.

My garage system getting a lot of use for morning coffee. Minimalist but sounds good. Gifted Bose 201 speakers, a Schiit Buf as preamp, Aiyima A04 (original model) amp, WiiM mini that is at the farthest possible range from our upstairs router. This all sounds much better than it should.

I groaned inwardly when a friend pushed the Bose on me, but for this outdoor use, their shotgun dispersion works just fine.

Some people love that Bose direct/reflecting sound. Obviously not a lot, since there are few speakers made like that anymore.

Yeah, I would not use them indoors, this use seems fine, and I don’t have to worry about better speakers being out in the garage. I had some 301s way back in the 80s, they were pretty mediocre.

You should refuse to say RIP for a classic that probably has more than one life to live, and can be repaired.;)

Yes, I should send it back to Mr. Pass for repair.

Endgame setup with 2.2, at least for now, after adding Trinnov Nova as well as Arendal 1723 1S and Sigberg Inkognito Gen 2. Speaker and sub-placements are non-negotiable vs. better half.

Majestic Fyne F703. Point source works wonders, crossed over at 80hz vs. subs.

Sigberg hiding behind the sofa, about 1m to the right of the MLP.

Living room with fireplace on left. About 3 meters from MLP to back wall on the right.

«Above shoulder” view. Note that the angle lies, the MLP is actually pretty much right between the speakers. Oh, and the Nova is absolutely fabulous! Never had bass like this before, pure joy.

New “case” for the Nova - came out surprisingly well colour-wise! CarpenterStudioGear on Etsy is highly recommended.

Hello, everyone. Since I couldn’t find a specific section for introductions, I’ll use this one.

I was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. I’ve spent my entire career in IT, with a background in AI. I’m now getting back into audio as a hobby, now that the kids are no longer kids. I look forward to learning from you all. My gear should appear in my signature.

Here is my current system put together over many years.

Linkwitz Orion + Analog Signal Processor (left, right speakers)
Linkwitz Thor (subwoofers)
ATI AT-6012 (power amplifier)
Neumann KH 310a (surround speakers)
Trinnov Nova, 6 channel (room correction, bass management, limiter)
Sources: (1) Sony UBP-X700 -> Yamaha RX-A860 (sacd, video), and (2) Cambridge Audio CXN (tidal, dlna)

My room of 40m2 has an irregular shape. It looks like a library---every available wall is covered by bookshelves, which double as diffusers.

The Orions stand in the middle of the room dividing it into dining and lounge spaces. The main listening position is a sofa 1.5m from the rear wall and 3m from the speakers. They are dipoles, so although they face towards the sofa, you can listen just well at the dining table.

The subwoofers are disguised as wooden side tables. They sit face down, flush against either side of the sofa. They remain transparent due to the low crossover: LR24 at 50Hz. The near field position is neighbour-friendly.
