It’s a great one! My musical tastes run fairly wide.
Endgame setup with 2.2, at least for now, after adding Trinnov Nova as well as Arendal 1723 1S and Sigberg Inkognito Gen 2. Speaker and sub-placements are non-negotiable vs. better half.
Majestic Fyne F703. Point source works wonders, crossed over at 80hz vs. subs.
Sigberg hiding behind the sofa, about 1m to the right of the MLP.
Living room with fireplace on left. About 3 meters from MLP to back wall on the right.
«Above shoulder” view. Note that the angle lies, the MLP is actually pretty much right between the speakers. Oh, and the Nova is absolutely fabulous! Never had bass like this before, pure joy.

Personally, I would design a rack that sits above the subwoofer. Legs would be positioned to the right and left of the subwoofer, with the equipment mounted above. It wouldn't be much taller than the current piece of furniture, but significantly narrower overall and would save a considerable amount of space.
The interior decoration committee is considering my suggestion to move the Arendal to the corner as a “stand” for the lamp, which said committee has made musings on earlier this year. Think this could improve bass extension. Two birds, one stone.

New speakers arrived Thursday. The crate they arrived in was 100kg. Luckily the nice chaps from the local dealer brought it in a van and unpackaged them. Homemade cake was provided and decent coffee

Room 5m x 8m. Glass coffee table not ideal but it's a shared room with a wife, so what can I do?

Laptop -> Minidsp Flex -> (Buckeye purifi 1ET6525SA -> Revel f226Be) // Monolith M-15 V2 x2.
Room is 15'x26' and a dreadful 7' ceiling but the panels absorb just far enough to help with that. The room is very function over form (the formerly painted then carpeted then stripped concrete floor as evidence... nevermind my aesthetically questionable panel mounts), but normally the lighting is dim and the atmosphere is very much to my liking (and nostalgic as this was my grandparents house).
I actually just set this up today and have listened to just the Revels for a couple of hours but not powered up the subs. I placed the speakers where REW estimated would work the best. So far I am very pleased, but I will be doing more experimenting with placement before introducing the subs and calibrating etc.
Further back you will see the previous setup of Polk L800 and not pictured is the Anthem MCA225 amp I was using with those. The reason for the amp upgrade is that I bought a center channel to use one day as well so the buckeye is 3ch. Also I wanted something "future proof" but the Polk SDA is questionable with class D so despite wanting to buy something Hypex/Purifi I did not.

There is Hoopo I got from Mallorca from a local chap. The Kingfisher the Bernese Bear and a Marmot made by a Swiss artist that I bought in Switzerland on a couple of summer trips to hike the Alps.
I really like this room, it looks very cozy. Can I come visit you?

Back in the mid-70's I had a fairly high-end stereo system: Thorens TD125 turntable, SME 3009 arm Shure V15 cartridge, McIntosh MR78 tuner & MPI4 scope, Revox A700 half-track deck, Tandberg TCD310 deck, Apt 1 "Holman" preamp, Dahlquist LP1 crossover, McIntosh MC2100 power amps (pair), mirrored Dahlquist DQ10 speakers, Dahlquist DQ1W subs (pair) and loads of accessories (headphones, mics, etc.). BTW: the MR78 featured in an early [NOT blind] FM tuner shoot-out in The Absolute Sound magazine with the Marantz 10B and the Sequerra Model 1 was mine. And they got their comments about the MR78 and the Sequerra backwards. I know this for a fact because I was the one switching connections as they listened. HP was furious when he found out several months later. He cancelled my subscription to the magazine.
Unfortunately, I moved into a ground-floor garden apartment in mid-December of '77. New Year's Eve, someone backed a trailer up to my living room window, tossed in a cinderblock (which they left behind), and relieved me of practically everything I owned except for clothing, dishes and some furniture. Also, unfortunately, I had overlooked changing my insurance from my old address to my new one. They refused coverage. The police accused me of fraud until they found out I was uninsured. Nothing was ever recovered. I remained stereo-less for more than 40 years.
Fast-forward to the pandemic: I decided buy new stereo equipment. I freaked when I saw the prices of some of the high-end equipment that caught my eye; so I decided to investigate the gently used market. Next, I caught the vintage bug and began tracking down equipment that was near state of the art back in the day my old system changed ownership. I've been lucky. Most of the used equipment I've found has been reasonably priced and in tolerable working condition. I'm slowly getting everything fully refurbished -- still, less expensive than some of the high-end gear I was looking at originally. I've also included a few truly new items, including embracing the digital evolution. A number of my choices have been based on reviews and forum posts here on ASR. Thank you, everyone!!!

Interesting story. Wow, 40 years is a long time to go without a system of some sort. After what happened to you, I imagine I would not have bought more high end stuff, even if that was financially possible.
Interesting would like to see a picture.
