The kit we bought, our current setups

Just really wondering why you thought it necessary to start another thread for basically the same content?

The concept of this thread is "the kit we bought, and current setups" which is not always the same as in my new thread emphasizing and requesting the must(s) "diagrams" of physical setup and signal path; I am not always requesting to include recently bought gear(s) on my new thread.

Maybe, my understanding on the word "kit" would be somewhat different from yours and others...

I understand your desire to expand into the diagrams, etc. I just do wonder who will now bother to post to both threads?

Of course, people may post to both or to either of the two threads! I always much respect the freedom of the posters.:)

On the new thread, I would like to evoke some new winds/atmosphere of excitement and attention through the shared "diagrams" and "photos"...

Awesome, Love the crank phono!
I keep looking at them on the net but just don't have the room for one.

My mother had one with about 30 records. We used it whenever the electrical power was out for hours or a day back in the day. It sounded pretty good in the dark with candles and kerosene lamps and beat the heck out of silence.

The cactus needles sound some much warmer than the steel, they sound hard and brittle. LOL
I had a huge stack of 78 shellacs I inherited from my aunt and grandma.
Even had a old record changer the did 78 and bought a special Stanton needle to play them back in the day.
But so they're so heavy and nasty sounding, during my move to FL it all went into the trash.

Yeah you have better taste in audio than a old 78 player that's for sure. :D

Everything is now dialed in with Dirac and it's finally on par with my office setup. :) I'm still thinking about upgrading the Atmos speakers to Kef R8 Meta, but at least the bed layer speakers will stay there the next decade.

SWEET !
Question, what is that on the front wall with the colored specs, etc in it ?
