Cables: Blue Jeans 10 gauge speaker cable, interconnects mostly homemade with Musilux bulk cable.

Impressive. SQ is way better than any recording I've done with my Editol R09.

Yeah it's not bad. I can't turn the volume up real loud in the apartment here so the recording levels are set pretty high which raises the noise floor unfortunately. The live SPL is only about 75dbs at the listening position.

Very small room setup. NAD M10, PSB Imagine Mini + PSB Subseries 200. Speakers do toe in, its a bit of an optical illusion in the pic. Did I mention its a very small room?

Very small room setup. NAD M10...
I really believe you that it is a small room but...
Unless the NAD-M10 [V2???] is under the WitnessProtectionProgram, there is no reason to keep it hidden.

I will believe that you own an M10, when you post a photo of it... ;)

Fair point. Its the original version, a thing rarely seen in the wild like this.

Hi there !

Here is my current setup :

Dell laptop running Windows 10 x64 -> FLAC files played on Musicbee (Wasapi driver) -> USB to Micromega Mydac -> RCA to Amp : Audio Flight Three mk2 -> Speaker : JMR Folia Jubilee.

Before that, I had a Marantz MCR611 in place of the DAC and amp. I was convinced by different obscurantist readings to switch to multiple devices. I don't know if the feeling that I gained something "audiowise"is related or not to the fact that I already spent the money . I already had the DAC and the second-handed amp cost me 900$ "only".

I really do have the feeling (and so does my girlfriend who, not being in the same room during the testings, did an unexpected blindtest...) that the music sounds much better, whatever that means, I'm lost after a few readings here  . Our illusions might probably smashed by one or several of you, but I guess I'm here for that .

I'm also very conscious that the room I'm listening music in really needs a few basic improvements.

I also spent a consequent amount of money in the vinyl records game... But luckily not on the devices : a Project Essential with a Realcable phono box. Since I switched to the new amp, I feel that all the scratches of old vinyls are amplified compared to the Marantz to the point that I can't listen to some records anymore. I don't know if this feeling is reliable or not...

Luckily, I have a very satisfying digital music library so I can enjoy the artists I love. I do need to change the DAC because of many different issues that requires maintenance from the manufacturer and because it is not covered by warranty anymore. But more on that in the appropiate section of the forum !

Quite a system you got there. 6x Salon2 ! Are there placed as LR, sides and rears of a 7.1 layout (not including nights)?

Yes, though due to small room size and a door in the way the sides are slightly forward. I actually prefer the sides a little forward of the MLP and have been doing that for many years. Dr. Toole said he also prefers that arrangement so I guess it's OK. :)

My sides are also a bit forward as well. I have a very large L shape sofa and to cover everyone as best as possible they are placed a bit forward compared to the best seats.

Enjoy.

Nice setup! I was going to order a pair of Forte 4’s before the Grand Veena’s fell into my lap. How are they working out for you?

Thanks, I really like them, great pairing with my low wattage tube amps, big full sound.

I am making some metal grills for them to protect from cats, removed the original grill cloth from the magnetic substrates, will apply black grill cloth and then attach these grills on the front, anodized in black satin, had them designed by a architectural grill company, should look pretty nice I think.
