the female voices of 70s and 80s pop
if possible, post the videos
Thank you

Now... when you say pop, do you mean pop?
I ask only 'cause I'd hate to see vocalists like these be gated out.

For any YT videos that are blocked in your neck of the woods:
Joanie (B)
Judy (C)
Linda (T)
(not in that order)

oh, and with tongue only partially in cheek, I'd also add the late Patty Donahue of the Waitresses.

And another Akron native, come to think of it. Chrissie Hynde (the Pretenders).

Audiophile darling (and muse of Leonard Cohen) who started her career as sort of a low-rent Linda Ronstadt:
Jennifer Warnes

early on, just "Jennifer [Warren]".

This episode of the Smothers Brothers' Comedy Hour was taped during a musicians strike, thus the... interesting accompaniment. :)

Cowboy Junkies were starting out in the 'eighties...

As I've opined many times, in many places -- I'd pay money to hear Margo Timmins read pages from the Toronto telephone directory. :)
We've seen the Junkies many times, and we've had a couple of chances to chat with her. She's absolutely charming.
