Every time I see a musical Tesla coil, I find it strangely fascinating. There is something special about hearing a familiar melody produced by actual electrical arcs rather than conventional loudspeakers.

Some songs also seem to work surprisingly well in this form — especially tracks with clear melodies, sharp transients and slightly dramatic or electronic arrangements.

A couple of examples I particularly like:

Daft Punk is really made for Tesla coils and Franzoli Electronics really knows what he do.

AC/DC works well also.

Does anyone else enjoy these performances as much as I do?

I would be interested to see your favourite examples of music played on Tesla coils. Which songs do you think translate especially well, and are there any particularly impressive performances I should know about?

Very cool! I think that Bach would sound very good on Tesla coils, given that his music was agnostic of instruments.

Bach is a great candidate for Tesla coils. He is probably my favorite of the well-known classical composers, and his music seems to work on almost any instrument.
I enjoy Bach played on jazz instruments such as saxophone. It is simply brilliant music.

My YouTube search is apparently heavily biased toward this particular artist and Tesla coils at the moment, because this was one of the first Bach examples it gave me again:

Very well done, though. I’m definitely open to more suggestion, this thread is really just a place to throw in anything good involving music and Tesla coils.
