Where are you based out of?Why do 100 year-old duplexes have so few electrical outlets that it's hard to find a workable set-up in the space we DO have?
I noticed in European homes, the number of plugs in the wall is lacking significantly compared to the US. And because many European homes aren't build using drywall, it's super hard to add an outlet.
In my home, I can add an outlet fairly easily and since I am pretty handy and skilled with snaking cables, drywall work and having a degree in CE (EE+CS), I have plenty of confidence to add, modified and fix any electrical work in the house. But if my home didn't have drywall, forget it, I would have to hire someone.
