Run Windows Apps on Ubuntu Easily: A Quick Guide
We have decided to help our readers to run Windows apps on Ubuntu, one of the most popular Linux distributions in the Linux world.thesecmaster.com
It is on another very old laptop P6100 processor (2010) miracle that it runs more or less stable. I run it under foobar linux unbuntu so not Kodi. I'm not really using it because of minimal system recources. Also issues regarding high resolution files max 48khz that will work. So a driver like wasapi will not work what i tried (by passing linux audio OS). But using files till 48khz is no problem. Could be solutions for that under linux but i don't have the time knoledge or a dedicated laptop with more ram and or processor. Early intel I processor 8 gig Ram, ssd could provide more than enough system resources.Cool and good to know. Presumably you are still running it via Foobar?
Is it possible to safely continue to use Windows 10 machines connected to a LAN but not the Internet? It's not a good idea and I'm sure people will be along here to explain why (or argue about it).
Personally, I am an IT professional. I gained Microsoft's Certified Systems Engineer status in 1997 (which included passing exams for Windows 95, NT 3.51 Server & Workstation) and I've been a Windows Insider (i.e. beta tester) for over 10 years. I started using Windows 11 at home 6 years ago, but completely replaced Windows 10 with 11 maybe 2 or 3 years ago (off the wifes & kids PCs, etc.).
Here's all my Windows Insider badges!

Is it possible to safely continue to use Windows 10 machines connected to a LAN but not the Internet?
I have a Windows 11 machine for internet use and would like to keep an using my Windows 10 MiniPCs as endpoints.
Ah! Good old Windows for Warehouses*3.11 for work groups ?
TPM modules are only £20 on Amazon, not sure i'd bother with a cheaper one direct from China...I was thinking in buying one of those plugin DRM chips so that my PC becomes compliant for upgrading to Win11. But I am lazy and never got to do it.
Are those selling in AliExpress worth it? If not, any other suggestions?
ThanksIf you completely airgap the Windows 10 PCs, i.e. put them on a separate network with no internet connectivity, then sure. But be aware that Windows 10 is going to talk to the internet all the time if it can, so it's not sufficient to leave it connected to a network with internet access and just not use it for browsing the web, etc.
