I spent many hours reading reviews on this site and ended up buying a Denon 4800h. I had a Yamaha a2000 with an anthem 5ch 200w/ch amplifier. I decided to try the Denon on its own and am blown away by how good it sounds. There’s plenty of power, which I was concerned about, and the surrounding sound has never sounded this good. Not sure the real reason but it’s dramatically better. Only downside to the 4800 is it won’t allow HD over component video. I have an Xbox that doesn’t have HDMI.

Anyway, thank you for all the guidance I love my new setup.

If you haven't found a solution for your Xbox, RetroTink makes devices that convert component to HDMI with minimal input lag. The 5X-Pro and 4K models can convert HD component to HDMI.

Thanks. I ended up buying a RGH slim 360. Has hdmi. Should solve my issues. Hope to get it in a week or so.
