Wonder if all the other car companies get in a mad rush to put theirs in space! If so, we might have a traffic jam there just the same as we have on land!!!

The cloud storage company Blackblaze reports on its hard drive failures. They have some 92,000 had disks! Interesting to see such variation in failure rates: https://www.backblaze.com/blog/hard-drive-stats-for-2017/

For the hypothesis that high temp means failure, there are p values listed here https://www.backblaze.com/blog/hard-drive-temperature-does-it-matter/
"Quarterly failure rates can be volatile, especially for models that have a small number of drives and/or a small number of drive days. For example, the Seagate 4 TB drive, model ST4000DM005, has a annualized failure rate of 29.08%, but that is based on only 1,255 drive days and 1 (one) drive failure."
Having two ST4000DM005 here, I feel better now.
Even though one was somewhat DOA and got refunded/replaced.

This is not something you see every day in your lab. You have to click on that camera button @ the exact micro second moment; but it is much more complicated than that ... And I think it's great news that we are able to see on top of reading...like graphs, measurements, picture of a single atom from a regular normal camera.
