Lots of functionality that most devices do not have, especially eArc. Cant wait to see the price and measurements.

1) If you are a dealer (I don't know whether you are or not) please contact the mods. Dealers on ASR need to register as such.

2) No mention of the "subwoofer" characteristics. Probably full-range.

3) 25W might not be enough.

Jim
I know that a new account posting product news as the first post looks very sus, but I'm not a dealer.

missed opportunity not to have Class-D amp, something like Hypex UcD180

They are using HypeX nCore. TEAC was an early adopter of the UcD and nCore line

As suggested by a French fellow, this should use Hypex Ncore NC52MP :

The very existence of this module was new to me!:D

30W/8Ω, 60W/4Ω, 60W/2Ω would be fairly acceptable from such a little box.

Boy, that seems low power for the likely price tag. Nice looks and functions but I think 50wpc at 8 ohms is a threshold for me for new amps...

What does the "crossfeed" control do? I've never seen that before...

What is interesting is the 3.5mm headphone socket wiring. I think they may be running a headphone stage with a BTL output, or deriving the HP from a BTL amp stage.

That's for 8Ohms THD 0,03%.
Strange way to spec it...

also note the 1 khz tone

not 20-20

i get that we're all used to rubbery figures... again maybe things are different in japan where their market seems to be ok with these kinds of figures even for a lowly 25w...

if ya gonna cheat why not cheat hard

really what is the true number for 20-20 and what we would accept as 'real' figures

Smallest hypex Ncore must be around 2X75 at 8 Ohms and 2X125 at 4 Ohms if I'm not wrong.
So it must be something around there.

I really like the looks and I'm all for small footprint, but my take on these is; overpriced. Teac makes nice small components, but they're always overpriced.

here's their previous unit

i heard discontinued?

$599 usd

they also have a 500/700 reference series

pricing gets really gory pretty quickly

their integrateds and power amps with the circular and square VU meters and Hypex look cute as hell but priced out of reach of anyone with sense

i'm also not sure where they are going as far as their range is because they have these half size power amps and dacs streamers etc. but they dont seem to have a matching preamp... so how are you supposed to use these as a 'stack'?

just use the dac as a preamp???? one would think they would have a complete catalog of half sized rack units which you can then buy components as needed but there seems to be glaring omissions in their lineup...

eg. a clock gen??? what a wacky company

Price on amazon.co.jp is $620
I am really thinking to buy one, my current speaker is the JBL 4312M II (Sensitivity 92dB (2.83V/1m), Power Handling 75 Watts RMS, 6 Ohm) on my desk
Is the amp's power (8Ω 25W) enough for my speaker?
