About 6 years back I purchased a couple little amp modules by Drok that were sporting the TDA 7377 class AB chip amp configured as 2 channel (from what I understand normally its a 4 channel chip). I had purchased it for messing around with but after connecting it to my main system, I was surprised at what I was hearing. It was quiet, and as pleasing as any class AB amp I've had on my system. Note that I dont need a lot of power so that helps out this little amp.
Fast forward to this year. I finally put this little amp inside a case, powered it with a 180W Dell power brick and invited some friends from my local hi-fi group i'm part of. We all had a great time and everyone loved how the system sounded to the point where I got a writeup on the the hifi groups page since my system is lower cost than all other members and I'm the only one DIYing anything (including my speakers).
I thought out of curiosity to see if anyone has given this a proper test on a bench and I found this guy who did some testing and it does seem like its genuinely a reasonable little thing! I'm tempted to send Amir one of these along with a Dell power brick to test
I'm running mine at 17V (just 1V shy of the max 18V).
