SVS SB-2000 Pro vs SB-3000 Subwoofer Review

That's what I use here, along with the $20 Editor app and then measure with REW and tweak a bit.
I have 2 SB2000's with one just about 2ft to the right of the MLP and it's isn't localized?
So then I would guess you've measured the results with REW to see what's happening.
That's exactly what I have done, then measure with rew, no obvious problems other then a reasonable null 50-60hz, no peaks that would cause the sub to be more locateable so I would assume it's a 2nd sub needed just to balance it out, I'll have to have a think as the 3000 has significantly more output at any given level then a 1000, should have just bought the 2nd 1000 first

Wish I had some better ideas for you, sorry.

I found hissing fix, basically instead of powering it on and off manually,or using integrated 12v trigger, you should make 12v trigger power socket and when receiver turns on it will power on subwoofer,if hissing occurs once in a while, just power your av receiver on and off.

Diy 12v trigger socket is not that expensive, cost me about 10€ total.

All built and ready to use, just add trigger cable. I use 2 of them to power up all 5 of my power amps and more.

Hi, I do have a bit of hiss, like many others, but not sure how the way of powering it On or Off will get rid of it. Could you please explain this a bit more? Thank you!

P.S.: I'm using Tuya power outlets to power On/Off my audio equipment, like most of electrical stuff in my home, in case it matters.

are the torx with the alignment centering pin in the middle.
That's actually a (supposedly) tamper resistant feature. ie you need a special torx bit with the center recess in order to mate correctly.

My dual SB-2000 do it on occasion. A simple power cycle fixes it every time.

Since so much of this particular thread has discussed the SB-3000 hissing issue, thought I'd toss out that SVS Customer Service just confirmed to me that the hissing issue has been resolved, though they refused to comment on what caused it/how they fixed it. After moving up to some larger speakers I am contemplating going to dual SB-3000s (from dual SB-2000s, non-pro), so wanted to be sure that the issue had been addressed.

For what it's worth...

Good to know, thanks, I'm about to pull the trigger on two SB-3000's.

My pair of SB-3000s came in and are perfect, no hissing whatsoever, just like the SB-2000 OGs that preceded them.

I've managed to get svs sb2000 and pizzics 12 subwoofers to work together, had to add 10ms delay and reverse phase with some peq values,on main listening position bass sounds great.

Just a note that Erin did not/have not updated the review in his website. In short, take audioholics measurements
SB-3000 is a good subwoofer, but not that good
