Hi amigos,

I tried some measurements of my current system. Please put the measurements into perspective and thank you in advance for your indulgence as I am not an expert in this area. Please note that I did several listening tests before taking measurements. Several people recommended using the Sub and PEQ settings from the Wiim Amp pro and not applying the PEQ available from the SVS Sub app.

Listening room :
For those who are curious, here is a 3D discovery of my listening room (note that I sold my Elac speakers that you can see)

It looks nice, in your room and with your measurements. :)

How do you experience the sound with wall mounted speakers?

Don't you build DIY speakers now? Or do I remember it wrong? If you like to have wall mounted speakers, have you thought about building your DIY as flat as possible and then mounting them on your wall? If you get the urge to build wall mounted speakers yourself, here's some inspiration: :)

Thanks for the feedback.
I love DIY, it's no secret. My latest project is the ALti MTG speakers. But I admit that this passion takes a lot of time, and unfortunately, I have less and less time...

Without lying to you, I had a big crush on the Polk R100 midrange.... The mounting on the wall bracket adjusted to the listening height provides an absolutely submersible image with this these speakers.

I want to let myself be by the SMSL Tabebuia because I have heard only good things about these bookshells and at the same time no one has really tested them... It will be the opportunity to see the beast from the inside and take a look at the crossover and get measuments )

BTW I relaunched a Room FIT with my Wiim coupled with a Dayton EMM6 calibrated microphone to see if I had consistency with my measurements via Room Analyzer Pro

Which do you like best, the Alti BookShell or the Polk R100?:)

SMSL Tabebuia you say, also a two-way bookshelf speaker. Could be good but shouldn't you try some other type of construction such as point source speakers, open baffle or omnis to name a few constructions/design types. Just to test something more different that is.:)

Speaking of trying something new. I got hold of a pair of Voigt pipes, just the boxes, for free. I had never tried TQWT/Voigt pipes before. Unfortunately I only had some crappy 8 inch bass drivers to test with so not a super success but fun to test it is.:)
I experienced a different type of bass though, see #11 and #12:

They look pretty similar XTZ calibrated microphone + Room Analyzer II Pro vs Dayton EMM6 calibrated microphone + WiiM RoomFit. Or, am I missing some details?

We talked, in the thread linked below, about how it might make sense to plug in a calibrated microphone when measuring with RoomFit. What do you think about it?
In #11 you see a test: Dayton's calibrated iMM-6C microphone vs built-in mics of the iPhone 15:

Indeed, I'm not innovating, but I absolutely want to stay on a 2.1 setup. I've been eyeing SMSL for a while, to be honest.

In fact, in general, the results seem consistent, but when I measure in multiple points, it differs... I tend to say that the XTZ Micro is perhaps more precise because it has a tolerance of about +-1db. I still have to familiarize myself with the Pro Analyzer software. What I like is that this software automatically generates PEQ-type corrections, but I don't know to what extent I can test them via the Wiim's PEQ.... To be continued )

BTW please listen to this .... Absolutely crazy..
I never thought we could recreate this masterpiece....

Fyi you can use that mic with rew for individual measurements if that floats your boat, good for dialling the sub in.

Yes I know but Pro Analyser has room measurement function for Sub as well.
See the first graph from 16hz to 250hz

My next approach will be to test a full range from the RTA, this real-time measurement function allows you to play with the EQ parameters to try to obtain a linear response across the entire spectrum
