SVS 3000 Micro REvolution

if i put my ear next to it i can hear it turn on, its a clicking sound idd .. from any other position besides next to it is not audible. You getting loud clicks on yours ?

My listening position is about 4-5ft away. I can hear the relay click and it sounds like a metal that is expanding/contracting. It’s brief for like a few milliseconds.

I got the 3000 micro r too, havent messed around with it yet. Im using it in a small 3.5m w x 2.5m l x 2m h room and for music it sounds nice.. I tried a few movies too, this sub will not reach ~20hz at acceptable volume levels in a meaningfull way (unless you go pretty high in volume) guess that is expected considering its size.

I did this inroom measuremetns, my room is 6m x 4m and on one side open to a dining room ~1/3 of this size.
The green line is not the max output but i could hear some distortion at ~20hz to ~25hz i guess. Xover Set to 80hz or so. So i would say up to 85db it is okay. Ignore the room modes, strongest at 70hz..
The blue line is the integrated measuremet with dsp and my kef r3 meta playing down to ~50 hz.
So the SVS Micro 3000 R can play 20hz inroom but thats its roll off point. To comparison i have the Kef KF92 wich plays flat to 15hz at this levels.
If i play the Song "Fading Sun" from Terje Isungset and Lena Nymark, this 20 to 30hz bass notes are played very impressive from the svs!
There is a subtle click when its wake up from stand by, but very subtle.

Considering cost of the KC92, would you say the KC/KF92 is worth it over the new SB3K Micro Revolution? Also, do you hear any relay clicks on your SB3kMicroR when it switches mode from STANDBY to ON or ON to STANDBY?

When the SVS goes from stanby to on it will click, like my class d amp too, but no issue, not loud or annoying at all. (Edit:When it goes to standby, also very subtle)
I did not hear the KC92, i have the KF92. The KC is more expensive and could be better, for my KF92 i payed ~1800€. It is much bigger and more heavy as the SVS Micro 3000R and its clearly the better Sub! It playes louder and deeper and the bass notes sound more definded/ detailled. Hifi cost are exponentially, if it is worth it depends how much money you want to spend and i guess there are bigger but more budget friendly 12" subs out there that are better than the kef but more ugly and ..bigger But for the price and the size of the micro r it is very impressive and not bad! Loud enough to annoy any neighbours. Most content has no information below 20hz and what the svs delivers above the ia pretty good and detailed! And it has dsp. I dont know yet if i will replace my Kef KF92 or add to it. For my Room and situation (with kid) the svs is a very good choice i have to say! If the goal is detailed bass with a mini micro sub, the svs is a perfect choice, if loud output levels over ~80db is the goal, buy a bigger sub. Here a comparison foto:

Thanks for the detailed response. I had the older and larger SB3000 and switched to the micro revolution due to size and power. The regular SB3000 was too powerful for my room and wanted something better for music, tighter. Happy with the SB3KMicroR but was definitely considering the KC92 prior to this being released.

I used one in my EV. It was epic!! Tons of output and played really low. There’s a 120v, 16a plug back there and the plug works while the car drives. You have to have it in “auto on” mode it wouldn’t switch on properly when set to “always on”

I’m curious what the actual power consumption is when it’s ON but not actually producing any sound. Just being ON in that mode.

Eh maybe 20 watts or so. Then would shut off after 20 min. I ran the micro for a week. Didn’t see any difference in power consumption for larger 700v battery.

I bought the new 3000 because the older gen lacks under 30hz. It's there, but quiet in my room. The 3000 R solves that issue. Made my jaw drop. Using for music and movies in a master bed room paired with 5.1 Ascend Acoustics Luna v2. The 3000 R sounds equal to, if not better than my sb1000 pro. I don't have any measurement tools just playing some test tones through and app and my usual audiophile test tracks such as Geoff Castellucci's - Sound of Silence. Theres a particular bass sweep that the previous gen 3000 couldn't get. The 3000 R did it well.

For reference, I have a custom made 15" ported woofer in a 5 ft3 box powered with a 700 watt speakerpower amp. I know what sub should sound like. No the micro 3000 doesn't have the headroom of the 15", but for it's size, its really impressive. I'd love to hear their higher end stuff.

its a nice upgrade over the v1 but still a sb1000pro plays 8db louder at 20hz. 50hz and up the svs has great output but imo you want power below 30hz.

Does anybody in Europe own this subwoofer and does the amplifier make any noise when nothing is playing it's only on.
