Those B connectors are indeed sketchy sometimes. It seems, either there are different specifications (?) or some manufacturers don't adhere to them. I have seen totally loose B connectors, and some (as in my old Canon and Fujitsu scanners) on which you could hang the scanner up.

This audiophile grade 1kg obsidian ball is essential to my system. The secret is: regularly submerging it in magic soldering-flux imported from Madagascar and polishing with an antistatic cloth. Works only on speakers with real wood veneer. Oce you found the right placement on any component the results are truly unbelievable!
Yeah... But don't let it fall on your foot :)

Ahah, it's very hard for pure audiophiles to admit there are no differences in cables.:p

I have many USB-B cables, but the only one that reliably works on my D70Pro is a 2meter printer cable I bought over 15 years ago. It was then (relatively) expensive, but is virtually indestructible.
It has an S/R ratio of infinity! If you roll it up correctly and put it in a drawer: zero noise...

Then drop it and sue the company
I think somehow they went out of business because the seller is no longer active on Wish.com.
It's a shame that having a great product sometimes isn't enough to conquer the market. I will never sell mine.

I'd only pay that much for a USB cable if I was in a bind... If I needed one really badly and immediately and I had no other choices. I "over paid" for a cable once when I was on a trip. But it was less than $50, and it might have been an HDMI cable.

The value of this cable would probably be better demonstrated at its max. 15 m length "without any signal degradation." Although, with the USB transmission protocol being reliable (i.e. involving packet retransmissions), an occasional receive error with a less expensive cable of comparable length would not necessarily deprive the owner of the claimed "dynamic, rich, and detailed audio experience, free of dropouts or distortions."

Hardly anyone places their DAC 15 meters away. But let's say that is common enough to test. Manufacturer needs to show the eye pattern to demonstrate that, not putting the responsibility on me.

One issue with USB cables is the voltage drop when used for power delivery. Many devices use USB connectors for power, The Raspberry Pi draws 2.5A, which is a lot for a normal data cable.

Turns out that I own one... At least its performance isn't compromised nor the price is crazy irrational.

Thanks, @amirm

I have plenty of Supra but I'm in Europe. No need to buy their most expensive stuff, it's mostly that the quality is high and the color is better than the usual black.
When it comes to coaxial cable for instance their cable should be 75ohm from one end to the other, for lots of brands this is only true on the cable part but not the connectors, which messes up the sum.

A lot of 4k/120hz HDMI cables have quality issues, but as soon as I replaced with a Supra (again, not the most expensive stuff) it's been working no problemo.

There's nothing magical with the cables or anything, it's just above average quality. I like the copper is covered with tin, prevents oxidation
Their optical cable was rubbish though, kept falling out.
I have two, both work fine (I even bought them used. 1 meter and 2 meter)

@amirm where did you get that cheap random USB cable? It performs as good a Swedish $52 cables, what a steal!

Now if either perform as good a $500 USB cable, I'll fall out of my chair!

:) jk

I am not sure the title "Supra Audiophile USB Cable Review" is appropriate as Supra didn't quite advertise their USB cable a audiophile cable?
To me Supra makes well built, durable cables that are certified up to specs, and reasonably priced as well. I am happy to pay a bit of a premium for that and feel comfortable the cables will last.

7 years ago, I had to build a Home Theatre and need to fish a hdmi cable behind the wall between TV wall mounted and my receiver, I have had bad experiences with monoprice hdmi cables that just turned dead for no apparent reason after a year or two. It would be a pain to take the TV off the mount and fish in a replacement hdmi cable. I ended up paying a bit more on a Supra HDMI cable which are well built, looks rugged and durable and its been working rock solid for 7 years without a glitch.

In fact i just bought a Supra USB C 3.2 cable to connect between an anker power bank to a raspberry pi 5 that I take it on the road as portable streamer/DAP. For whatever reason, the built-in USB C cable of the anker power bank would not power up the raspberry pi 5 but connecting the Supra USB C 3.2 cable between the Anker and Raspberry pi 5 works flawlessly.

Your review is a joke. You didn't listen to it, much less test it with different types of music. How do we know whether this cable is better for classical, or jazz, or techno? Did you burn it in? Opt for the cryo option? Try it with USB cable elevators? And what is this "pet foil" screen? Were any pets harmed? Do better!

Hah. Like different op-amps we obviously need different USB cables for different music. I want one for jazz, which makes it all go quiet

Do you have access to an LCR meter to verify the manufacturer's claims about resistance and capacitance per meter and compare them to those of cheaper cables?
