SUPER TWEETER FOR ALTEC BUILD

Hello all.

I would like to add a super tweeter to my current setup, Altec 416B/Altec 806-A/811B.

how do I go about building the crossover for it? how do know what capacitor or other components I need?

I had managed to rebuild the N801-8A crossover network, with Dayton Audio 18mfd 250v Metallized Polypropylene Caps, and 2.2mH 18awg, 0.76ohms DCR Inductors. Would it have been better to go with more expensive Mundorf caps?

I do not have alot of knowledge but am eager to learn, any advice would help.

JBL made speakers with the 075/077 super tweeter and crossovers for those designs. The crossover for the super tweeter would be a high pass filter, likely 2-pole.
