I'm looking to find some suggestions for a single box, combined DAC/Preamp (no streamer). In addition a remote (IR or RF) is a 100% must. Balanced inputs/outputs would be nice, but isn't a must, but of course required for a AHB2. This would essentially be used as a preamp, infront of an 'as yet to be decided' speaker amplifier (likely the Benchmark AHB2, Or Schiit Vidar, unless something else comes along.). If anyone has suggestions at varying price points, let's say 500/1000/2000 USD it would be great
I have KEF LS50 speakers, which can sound bright with the wrong matching equipment, so that's something to take into account.
