Good choice going with a Wiim. I very much doubt you'll regret it.
Did you go for the pro or the pro plus in the end? From the front, I'm pretty sure they both look the same?, so I can't tell.

I connected it with a coax cable which i believe uses my receivers dac, but I should try it with 2 channel out from wiim to see if i like it better or not.

Considering the price of a Pi4 (about a 100 bucks...?), which will be the only expense, you could still give it a try... it can do local files, internet radio, BT, and also Deezer (until the deezer-connect API kept alive and maintained by the Deezer guys, of course). You can use HAT DACs, as well as USB DACs, which in my opinion is the best choice... but to try it, the headphone jack is still a quick-and-dirty option, too.
Nevertheless, the WiiM seems to be the no. 1 choice all-around; well done.

The WiiM is sounding even better after i adjusted the eq in my receiver.
