Sudden hearing loss from Covid

In my understanding (and experience) the loss of high frequencies starts up again as soon as you stop the steroid.

You should go measure your hearing now (actually give it a couple of weeks)

May I request that anybody who gives specific medical advice include their qualifications. Thank you.

Has it occurred to you to go back and see your doctor instead of asking a bunch of non-experts on a forum? Yes there are medical professionals here (I am one) but I am not going to give you advice, for which I have some legal liability, without knowing what is going on. Notably, you failed to state which meds you came off.

My ENT appointment is coming up! I was taking Presnidone 40mg for 5 days then 60mg for 5 days. I really do feel better but I do have a bit of tinnitus that was always there (not sure if it's worse now.) I have a long history of exposure to noise working as a production and post-production sound engineer and playing the saxophone for most of my life. And my last hearing test many years ago already showed a little more hearing loss in the left side, in the high frequencies, which was the same as my recent test. So now that I feel better, I'm curious what my hearing tests results will be. But the most important thing is, I feel I can hear again! The meds were tolerable. I felt the effects the first day, although I got a lot of heartburn from them.
