Equip them with a Voxativ full range driver $24.900.-/pair and you'll have a nice pair of Transmission Line speakers, probably rivaling B&O's BeoLab 90 thanks to it's open top dispersion. Will most likely pass John Atkinsons knuckle test, what's more to ask ... ;-)

Looks like a Lowther knock-off. Love the whizzer cone, probably made from the very best paper in the universe, and ideal for generating that scintillating Lowther peak low in the 10k-20k Hz octave. So, even most hearing impaired folks can hear it. And, the wood phase plug, priceless. And, eat your hearts out, active crossover guys. They offer choices, much like Lowther did for aeons. Some cones and whizzers are all wood, believe it or not. The more pedestrian models use Japanese Origami paper. You could not possibly get any more retro-chic organic than this.

With the correct driver, this would be a great outdoor speaker. Probably turn the toilet 90 degrees, and mount the driver in the normal waste pipe position. Then the open bowl would not be useable for the original function.
