Hi there,

I bought a brand new Presonus Eris Pro 10 back in 2024 and only started using recently but it has noise problems and will be replaced...

If the replacement one has the same problem what's the absolute best subwoofer for Europe market upto ~400€ (I'd specially would like if it can do 20hz kinda OK) and must be 10 inch max but must really kick and rumble like crazy.

I absolutely liked my Logitech Z5500 10 inch subwoofer but the amp went puff like 2 weeks ago :(.

ps: I'm currently using a very old Mirage 8 inch subwoofer but it's much weaker than the logitech system...

Thank You,
guily.

I first tried an old REL Q150e of ebay, but it was not great. Then I saw a new REL T5x at a clearance price at a well-known bricks+online UK outlet, and that is now making doing a good job with a pair of Revel F206's here. So, the price-point may not be quite what you wanted but it is worth stretching for, if you can.

Klipsch Reference R-121SW maybe? AH tested it. It is ~380-400 € now. Though has a 12 inch woofer.

BTW how deep did the Presonus Eris Pro 10 go down? Any port noise / chuffing / issue?

Yeah, it is hard to find a good sub in EU thats is easy to buy.
RSL or Rythmik audio are not that easy to get in EU thats why i bought the SVS SB-1000 PRO

I didn't quite like the sound quality of the Presonus Eris Pro 10 specially for it's ~450eur price, I don't think it's even in pair with the 10inch sub from my Logitech Z5500 from 2005 which seem to be cleaner in air port noise and better at kicking or rumbling.

But the issue is on PC the Presonus is constantly giving bangs randomly even with the PC idle and it's interfering with the Yamaha receiver which start to pick up noise from the PC when I move my mouse, as soon as I unplug it from the protected wall extension socket all problems are gone.

The Logitech Z5500 never had issues but went puff couple weeks ago... I have other 10inch crap subwoofer and also works fine but has horrible port noise and I'm currently using my very old mirage 8 inch subwoofer which is also working fine but lacks the power of the Z5500 10inch sub.

Ps: I hope the Presonus replacement works good even though I was hopping for much better from a studio pro kinda expensive subwoofer, but I already need to start adding subwoofers to my wishlist in case it has the same issue...

Edit: forgot to say the klipsch 12 is likely not going to fit here, seems to be quite big and also it's at 608eur on Amazon.

That one is way too expensive and likely too big and way overpowered already for my system:)
The only one I could buy is the cheaper one but I don't think I like 2 small drivers instead of a single bigger one, at least my friend had some JBL with 4 small drivers and was pretty crappy compared to almost any single big driver subwoofer.

Also the Presonus is similar mostly made for professional equipment with balancing ports and all that crap and even comes with some feet pedal LOL.

Wharfedale WH-D10 if you can find it with good pricing. Old SVS-SB1000 is long gone but in 12" category perhaps Q Acoustics B12 for similar price (550~600€) is a very good deal still if you can catch such.

Sadly none of them are in Amazon Spain which is the only Amazon I can buy from.

But I found the WH-D10 from a store from mainland for 450eur + shipping.

Also the problem of most 12 inch is the size for here, in height both my old mirage 8 inch and the Presonus 10 inch are just mm from touching my drawers because they are tall and if it goes too much for the sides will also hit my chair like the Z5500 10 inch sub was almost touching my chair.

Also My speakers aren't that great and most 12 inch will simply completely overpower them and we pay more though sure I some times like to overpower bass completely and just kick and rumble like crazy;):)
THe SB1000 is still on th emarket, but you may have to search: https://doublepoint.nl/svs-sb-1000-subwoofer-zwart
They are both not anywhere on Amazon Spain neither anywhere on my country (Portugal).

Can only find the pro version close to 800eur on mainland Portugal (I live in Madeira island)...

Edit: I found them on eBay for 579eur, but it's still more than I wanted to pay, I'd be willing for like 450eur... Though I will still add it to my list In case I go crazy LOL.

@guily6669 QA generally have problem with depth (or better say that's properly done) and not so much buffle wide. 450 € is quite too much for WH-D10 which ain't small both ways. Can I see some space pictures or at least dimensions?

How about 2x 10" with audio card trough software in 2.2? How much is cheapest Polk PSW 10e?

On my country everything is overpriced... If they were on Amazon or eBay would be much cheaper (also not everything on eBay shows because lot of stuff they don't send it here so it's not even listed).

Ps: it's needing a cleaning already lol... But the gaming chair feet extend pretty long so it can't be crazy big in both sides and height.

Currently 248eur on Amazon, eBay is cheaper but with shipping is more expensive...

However I would have to run another cable trough my room even though I have a 5 meter shielded cable I think I would prefer a single more powerful 10 inch sub.

Edit: also they seem big for what they are compared to the SVS SB-1000 which seem the perfect size 33cmx33cmx33cm... My Z5500 10 inch sub is also ok: 33cmx33.7cmx46cm (it has only more depth but not a issue on that)

Two each to it's side out of the table, crossed high with mains (and still close to it) get ties and do cable menagement one side power, other side everything else. Dump them just a bit over 1 m distance from you (pulling table out).

If you mean the ESI Aktiv 10s currently is 253eur but seem to use TRS big plugs inputs and I don't quite like it.

I really like the klipsch R-112SW and Polk Audio HTS-10 but sadly none fit hereo_O:(

I do have lots of space in the corner that could fit even a huge concert subwoofer and the corner is usually best place for the bass but sadly I have other plans for that space so I want to fit a single 10inch where my current mirage is.

I can't also use left side of the table for a subwoofer cause my chair takes most of that space (it's legs from side-to-side take probably almost a meter of space all around).

Use side table and put that tower under the desk(if it fits).

I don't really have space anywhere sadly...

There's only lots of space left side to the table in the corner but I will use it later for other stuff.

I'm probably limited to ~34cm W; ~46+cm D; 40cm H

For now I have Klipsch R-112SW (sadly only 1 currently available new from ebay) and Polk Audio HTS 10 in my list, but they both have way to much width than I wanted, will likely hit the chair and my feet, the height I might manage by raising my table since it has a electric motor however I wanted to avoid that since I like it low as-is for playing games moving with the mouse and all of that, but 1 or 2 cm might be OKish.

I would really wanted something as powerful and as cheap that would fit here better. SVS SB-1000 seems like the amazing perfect tiny size with big power but sadly too expensive for me.

Are you able to find any KEF Kube 10B (not the newer 10 MIE) as refurbs or used where you are? Seems to be about perfect for your space, and refurbs go for $400 at least here in the states.

sadly nop, ebay only has from USA and the main used website from my country there's 0.

I do love KEF but they are rare here cause all of them is crazy expensive, but I do have some reference 80's speakers from them on a Class A Technics 80's stereo and they are by far the best sound I have and one of the best I still ever heard including what other people have.

Can only find 1 SVS SB-1000 pro used in my country for 699€ which is still a damn lot and then will be close to 100€ shipping from mainland due to likely huge box and lot of weight and the SVS SB-1000 is currently in promotion on ebay for 579€ + 30€ shipping but that's still a lot, it's probably around 70+% of a full month of salary here And I already have my motorcycle rebuilding the entire engine which is like 3 months of salary including 800€+ for a higher cc kit that I bought for it...
