Recently upgraded my audio setup and was going to sell old Edifier R2800 but nobody wants them so may be build a woofer.
The issue is that I have no background knowledge in acoustics.
Is there a full guide on how to build subwoofer covering all aspects?
Potential problems may be
- it has to be active, not sure if Edifier amp will do. Installing crossover should be simple though
- for cabinet design I'll need speaker specifications but there is no data written on LF driver. From Internet: lowest frequency is 42Hz; 8 inch; 6Ω
Btw is it possible to make a woofer with such driver to output up to 30Hz (or even 20Hz)? My speakers are rated 44 - 35000Hz
