If they deliver what Argon promises? (14-250 Hz ± 6 dB) and (13-250 Hz ± 6 dB), it seems pretty interesting...
To me at least, I had Arendal 1961 1S on my list....

I think a spec like "+/- 6dB" is pretty meaningless.

I just put out there what they report if someone hasn't seen these and could find them relevant. Whatever brands promote, someone wold have to do a reality check before I rely upon specs anyway. Price + announced performance would make them contenders if independent measurements backs it up. No idea if that will happen.

Easier for me to check out these in person than Arendals (or SVS), and not having a separate listening room, they are more palatable. Good or not? Haven't seen any tests yet, but am aware they are out on the review cirquit. Whether they dare to ship them to those who counts for serious audiophiles remains to be seen.

Fair enough. Not sure how many generations they've been through, the Malmö series wasn't interesting to me. However rudimentary the design may or may not be (haven't seen them picked apart and dissected or measured, thus wouldn't know), if they are good they are good and if they are bad they are bad. A bit premature to write them off. Or promote them.

I'm not a basshead, and would believe these should fill in nicely for my purposes. If they are good (enough).

It looks like it has more features than most subs and that they actually took some effort https://argonaudio.com/blogs/insights/berlin-deep-dive the choice for a sealed sub and the ability to customize the crossover rolloff behavior, and the 3 band DSP to hopefully do something against room modes.

One thing I agree with you on is that co-located subs and mains is the way to go for stereo, most on these boards would not agree. See below, after being frustrated with small subs I ended up building some large ones

I agree with you. Of course, I am not part of the 67% majority.
