Hello Folks!

I would like to see how can I improve my sub integration. My current set up is as follows:

Preamp RME ADI-2
- Primary input: from USB - playing from ROON
- Secondary input: Optical from TV
- Output: XLR to Amp (NAD C298)

Amp NAD C298
- Output: Speakers KEF LS50Meta
- Sub Unbalanced Output: to SVS 3000 Micro

SVS 3000 Micro Sub
- For music listening: Using SVS integrated EQ for Music (using SVS app) Freq 63hz, 2.0 dB, 2.4 Q and Freq 63hz, 2.0 dB, 2.0 Q
- Low pass 70hz
- For movies: I turn off the SVS EQ and increase the volume by 4dB
- I switch between music and movie mode using SVS iOS app.

What I'm hoping to achieve:

1) Better SUB integration that could improve the overall quality

2) Currently when I play different music, I feel the need to tailor sub volume (using SVS app) by about 5-10dB depending on music and mastering to have seamless integration and optimal level of bass. I am hoping I could set predefined ROON EQ for each of those scenarios to avoid using SVS app each time

To that end, please help me understand:

1) If should I connect the sub directly to RME unbalanced output (instead of my amp) and whether I get a better integration and sound quality?

2) Should I change or tweak any setting in RME when I connect the sub. Please provide guidance on what menu should I change, as I don’t know.

3) All my EQs (for my speakers) are set in ROON. Should turn off SVS EQs, and instead I set any EQ for the purpose of SUB in ROON?

For an ideal sub integration you should have all speakers on a separate channel, check out this post as a start:
