Sub connection optoins - BlueSound node LFE or DAC L+R RCA?

I have a new sub coming and would like people's opinion on how best to connect it.

I have the following setup:
Bluesound Node --> Coax Digital Connection --> Topping E50 DAC --> Balanced connection --> to Audiophonics AMP

I have the option of taking the RCA LFE output from the Bluesound node for the subwoofer connection, or the L+R RCA output from the Topping DAC (the DAC has both RCA and balanced outputs).

The Node gives me the option to high-pass the main speakers, but then I would be using the DAC in the Node for the LFE output.
If I take advantage of the E50 DAC, then I would use the L+R RCA connections and feed this to the sub. This way I get a better DAC, but no high-pass option for the main speakers.

The sub has it's own DSP and room correction capabilities.

I would be interested to hear people's thoughts on the two options. Or is there another approach I should look at?

You cannot hear the difference in the sub's sound when fed from the Node or the E50.

You likely can hear the difference between full range mains and high-passed mains.

Notice the Node doesn't high-pass the coaxial output. The Node only applies the high-pass and low-pass filters to its analog outputs (rca and subw). Wiim Ultra Streamer has the edge there: It does filter the high-pass filter to the coaxial output as well.

My N130 definitely does. I've tested this with test tones.

Edit: it seems that there is no high-pass filtering on digital outputs when the Node is in 'pass-through' mode, which makes sense.
I don't have it set up that way, and use it as a pre-amp where I do the volume control. In this configuration I am definitely getting tone controls and high-pass filtering when the subwoofer setting is enabled.
