Sub and speaker - curious what happens if the driver surfaces are angled in different directions.

I have a quite narrow Q Acoustics 7000s subwoofer (like this one) next to a 2 way KEF Cresta bookshelf speaker on a stand.

I have the 7000s portrait (vertical, skinny) and the KEF horizontal, on its side. My cats - this is their (high speed) staircase to one of their main perches.

They have let it be known they would prefer the KEF to be rotated slightly, off axis to the subwoofer.

I said I'd come ask here what would happen as the surfaces of the drivers rotate apart - assuming that the center of each driver is kept in the same relative position?
