I just moved to a new house and as the listening room (living room) is twice the size, I went for bigger speakers (Wharfedale Linton replacing my KEF R3 + SVS 3000 Micro setup). I kept the same AIO amp Lyngdorf TDAI-1120.

I have some reverb in the room as well as undefined sound probably due to reverb and other things. I can upload REW measurements if that can be of any help to double check that the treatment suggested by GIK Acoustic will solve that problem. But on top of that I am lacking of volume / bass dynamics in my Lintons.

It's a 30 m2 (323 sqft) living room, and I am sitting 2,5m (8,2 feet away) from the speakers.

I am looking for a replacement for the Lyngdorf for another AIO streaming amp (I need Tidal Connect and HDMI), or an amp with something like a Wiim Ultra that matches my Lyngdorf.

Appreciate all the help.

Hi, any nicely built Hypex power amp would be great with a WiiM front end - plenty of options recommended here.

However, perhaps you should look at why you are lacking volume/bass. 2.5m is not a great distance and your Amp has plenty of power unless you listen at ear-damaging levels.

What makes you think you need more power? Can you describe what changed (subjective, I know, but it's a start)

Thanks for help. I may be wrong with my "low power" assumption as maybe the issue is wrong pairing in terms of (please correct the terms). I think that these speakers have more "punch" that what I am getting based on the reviews and measurements.

I listen around 70 dB, but in some songs that means going to almost 0dB in the amp (the amp can do +12dB but I don't know if it's safe for the unit).

Description of my listening: lack of bass (integrating the SVS with a 60Hz high/low pass filter + Room Perfect made it having more bass in terms of volume but also losing clarity of the rest of frequencies). If I go 75-78 dBs I lose clarity in the voices, but I guess that issue is the room

I have measurements for left, right and both speakers. With the sub integrated and without (which is the setup I am running now).

Using Room Perfect correction?
Yes but usually bypassing it as I don't see the difference. Due to the shape/location of the room I am not sure if I am running it properly (should the mike always be between the two speakers?).

I suggest you read the manual and try to get it setup correctly before trying a different amp. Usually the mic would be required at the listening position. Anywhere else would be stupid.

Could You provide measurements graphs and .mdat file ?
I also have Lintons and they can play extremely loud with good punch.
Your Lyngdorf is able to output 136 Watts into 4 Ohm, that's plenty.
There must be something wrong with your setup/settings.

Undefined sound/lack of volume and bass dynamics....
Please check all screws in Lintons if they are tightened enough, be careful to not over tight !!
To remove grills use 2 plastic cards (ID, bank pass ..), put 1 first between grill and enclosure and then slide second one on the outside, grill should flip off.

Yes, I read the manual and also watched the Ask Lyngdorf videos from Peter Lyngdorf. The first measurement is done in the MLP with the microphone pointing to the speakers, then I go with random positions/angles but keeping the height between standing and sitting position and avoiding corners, objects in the middle, etc. My concern was if the microphone should be placed in the entire room or just in the space comprehended between the two speakers (as I have read both things).

See a sketch of the room, as you can see the . Scale is not perfectly correct, but MLP is in the middle of the two speakers (measured by laser tool).

See .mdat attached. Left, Right and both speakers. RoomPerfect bypass.
