This is my first post and i want to say Hi to all of you and a big thanks for all the valuable information and discussions we can find here.

I decided to ask for help here because i might have a niche situation to solve. Ive got a pair of Adam Audio T8Vs for my desktop work&chill setup and need a streamer with balanced out to my monitors as well as an input for my Fluance RT81+ and USB. I've got a mini-pc with only usb-a/c connections where i need to connect the streamer to output the pc sound like music/games to my monitors.

Already got a Audient iD14 in use with the monitors, but the connection to my pc is miserable because i'm using linux and there are no native drivers, couldn't find a solution here and i would love to have an streamer now which could also handle my turntable.

Was thinking about Wiim Ultra which does not tick all the boxes, but something like the CXN100 or the new Eversolo DMP-A8 is just too expensive. Any recommendations on which single device could fit in perfectly to my setup? Alternatively a combination of 2 devices? Thanks in advance!

Any other capabilities that are important, like EQ?
My guess is you'll have to find something close, like the Wiim Ultra, then use other devices to fill the gaps or compromise slightly. A USB to toslink adapter would cover the PC input. For output you could make some RCA to balanced cables, or use an external DAC with balanced outputs. If the correct impedance can be determined to add to the cold leg at the RCA end the cable would have almost all the benefits of balanced.

Nothing really, cut down this is what i'm trying to get, a device which has..
  1. the RT81+ connected via RCA
  2. my mini-pc connected via USB-A (or C) to USB-B (or C)?
  3. balanced output to my T8V monitors via XLR (or sth like XLR to TRS)
  4. (a physical volume knob would be nice, but not mandatory)
Streaming isn't even mandatory as well since i got my own music server which i can control via app and play via PC, but at first i was looking at these combo device since they tick some boxes.
I want to keep the costs low but am willing to invest in sth that can fit my usecase pretty well. If we cut the streaming and still would need 2 specific devices to make that setup complete, i would also be fine with that but that one single device to make that come true would be awesome.

I just looked up the RT81+ and saw it has a built in phono amp. If you're using that then you only need a line input, and any interface with 2 in, 2 out and linux support would do.

I guess the Fiio K9 would fit perfect, but it's too expensive.

Could anybody recommend a device like the K9 in cheaper or a solution with 2 devices?
