Streamer not made in China

Volumio made in Italy and Raspberry Pi made in UK are in my opinion good alternatives. Volumio offers a ready to use solution, whereas Raspberry offers a kit, based on which You can fairly easily build Your own streamer. DIY Raspberry Pi based streamer is about as cost efficient streamer solution as one can get.

Volumio is an Italian company that makes both streamers and steaming software in Italy, I think.

My experience with the old Mercury-V2 streamer of Pi 2 Design (! Only streamer, no DAC) was very positive. Based on a Raspberry Pi, but very versatile; nearly all types of in- and outputs. Superb audio quality. The new V3 is much cheaper and has a build-in DAC. Standard running on Volumio; but Moode and Ropieee are also options. Not the most fancy look; but top quality. Very good personal support of Michael Kelly when you have questions.

I think some not so old NAIM products were made in England but nowadays most of them are now made in china.

The SOtM sMS-200 (made in S. Korea, I believe) is a superb piece of kit.

FWIW, more generally, the Chinese kit I have here (from SMSL, Topping, Auralic, Gustard) is amongst the best I've ever had/heard. And the build-quality is beyond reproach.
