It’s like that Lewis Black joke about temperature. If it’s 20 degrees, like today, but the wind chill makes it feel like -1, THEN IT’S -1! For a feeling sensual human being, the temperature is -1. I like being called a charlatan, it means I am getting my ideas through. It’s a place to start.

But then measurements actually determined that people feel the temperature like -1… once again a poor example.

When it is cloud-enabled/connected, that's true, because someone has to maintain the server. But there are a lot of logitech and other devices working exactly as they did when the updates stopped.

I have a scanner with an online service. The company went out of business four years ago. Amazingly enough, all the connected services still work, although it's possible the server is being run by some sort of scam/data gathering operation.

Even if it's not a cloud software, if the ecosystem has moved on and if the software isn't updated for the ecosystem then it no longer works, for instance, the app store may stop hosting the download, or a may not work with a new version of Android or iOS.

Many times, it's fine, like my Heos, but it's fine until it's not. Not discouraging anyone, just pointing out the possible issue.

@klinertay i'm still waiting on your response. The burden of proof is on you, and all i've seen in the thread so far from you is horrible analogies and logical fallacies. I am 99% you are just trolling on a burner account.
