Hi all.
I am looking for a streamer that as a native Tidal player that can be accessed through the streamer screen preferably non android.
I am not looking for any tidal connect devices.
The reason is its for a desktop set up where I can just reach out and just press a button or tap a screen to control Tidal. Preferably under £500 but could go higher.

Maybe a dumb question but if it's for a desktop setup, I assume you have a computer there, why not use that?

I do not have a computer. I have a desk that needs a streamer where I can directly control Tidal through the streamer.

uses Android tho.

If that's unacceptable, consider an iPad coupled with a DAC of your choice.

I was also going to suggest an iPad with external DAC in that case. I'm not sure a lot of streamers per se run the native Tidal app.

I switched to an iPad Air M3 with a USB-C OTG adapter and charging port + external DAC. Tidal, Qobuz, Apple Music, Amazon Music - all native and bit accurate.

There usd to be loads a few years ago. These days I think manufacturers are trying to put less control in to hardware and more in to app to save costs.

A few year ago I did that and was just not good. The amount off effort and time it took to work and the instability not only of the setup but also of the actual physicality on a stand was annoying to say the least.

I have found this but little info on if it's still working with tidal.https://www.tempotec.net/products/tempotec-serenade-x#:~:text=Prasad%20Prasad,do%20is%20update%20the%20firmware.

OP, you ask the community a question, you get some thoughtful replies, and you dismiss all of them without a single word of thanks for people taking time out of their day to try to help. Now what?

Well the OP has rejected all sensible suggestions, so the only options left will be niche devices like that Volumio Motivo that are gonna cost.
