So... short answer: I don't know.
but...
FWIW, one may change the forum "style" -- down at the bottom of the page (if you can find it!) :)

I presume that if you highlight text on that dark-on-dark presentation you're seeing... it will become visibile(?).

You might want to try the "Default Style", @dasdoing (?)

Are you sure you are not using a theme on the browser itself where the text has ended up as the same colour as the background panel?

Does it come right if you do Ctrl-F5 ?

Browsers' caching interaction with XenForo is weird/different.
Firefox uses its cache as-is although the page has been updated with new post.

to be clear. it doesn't even happen all the time. I think it happens when I open a lot of ASR tabs at the same time.

I need more confirmations of dark style users that they are not experiencing the same

I'm using the dark theme, Win11, Chrome 99.0.4844.84 64-bit, zero issues.

Patient: "Doc, it hurts when I do this!"
Doctor: "Well, then don't do that."

p.s. - sorry, I couldn't resist! Jim

I think it's the best advice so far.
I have been* fighting the temptation to suggest just using another browser. :)

______________
* OK -- make that I had been fighting...
